English Language Preparation

English language courses

If you do not meet the English language entry requirements for one of the International Study Centre programmes, you can still enrol by taking an English language course first.

Choose either:

  • English Language Preparation - for undergraduate pathways
  • English for Pre-Masters - for postgraduate pathways

Courses take place at Durham University International Study Centre on Queen’s Campus in Stockton-on-Tees.

At the end of the English language preparation course, you will take an IELTS test to assess your level of English. You will progress to your chosen programme when you complete the course and achieve the required IELTS score.
